The Wyewood Arts and Sciences championship will take place at the Yule Feast in December. Here’s some basic information so you can prepare:
To compete, please email the Baron and Baroness as well as Wenyeva atte grene a brief letter stating your interest in competing for the championship of the Barony. (Please make sure the subject line says this as well!)
In the letter, please describe your entry. We need to know in advance to have qualified judges if possible. Please also let me know if you have any necessary requirements for your display such as an electrical outlet, etc.
The letter needs to reach us by November 10. Your entry doesn’t need to be ready by then, however!
Documentation for your entry will need to be submitted a week before the event. (I’ll post more about that later.)
Please be aware that the judging will weight documentation fairly heavily this year. We want to see both good artisanship and good research.
Additionally, you may enter a research paper instead of something you've made if you like. Research papers do qualify for the championship.
At the event, you will have time to present your work to the judges and answer questions, similar to the format at most A&S competitions.
I don't know yet how much space you will have for the display. It probably depends on how many people enter.
